I liked one of *Dakota-Spirit's journals so much, about rescuing shelter bound animals I made a stamp.
All these animals are currently sheltered at my school, and willnot leave until they are up for adoption and get a new home. Tulip actually left Friday, I'm so happy ^^ Now if only Willa can find a home, along with Wallace, Penny, and Trixie. They've all been spayed/neutered, and are just waiting for someone to be they're savior. So, the dogs, starting with the red/tan pit bull: Penny -(red nose pit bull) Trebel -(collie mix maybe) Abby -(pit bull) Abby -(pit bull) Wallace -(golden retreiver mix) Jackson -(lab mix) Willa -(boxer pit bull mix) Trixie -(beagle mix) Tracker -(minature beagle) Dolly -(possibly lab mix) Tracker -(minature beagle) Raleigh -(lab mix) Mitch -(Bermese Mt mix) Willa is in a different cage because she and Trixie got into a fight, and Trixie ended up biting a hole in her leg. So she was in a smaller cage, for restricted exersise. Which was lifted today, yay! OMG over 100 layers, took freakin forever. All pics taken by me. |

I think of it like this -
Your first dog is always a test to see how you will be as a dog owner. A rescue dog has been through a lot and has a lot to teach you...so effectively you teach each other about new things. It's hard to explain...but this is my trail of thought at 10.22 am >.<

That true, I always thought the dogs would teach you how to be a good pet owner, than all that reasearch. Well, the research helps, actually XP Like my fist dog, spoiled her rotten, and she was actually a little porker, but now our other two are a perfect weight. But yeah, long story shoirt- I understand exactly what you mean.
Even though my dogs weren't shelter dogs, they were all strays, and all abandoned sadly.

It's funny how they really don't get fat (I've never seen a fat greyhound), even though they can eat everything and anything. And yeah, they can really run!
